The birth house of Ramapurathu warrier , author of famous Kuchelavritham Vanchippattu was near to the SreeRama Temple. In its place a UP school is present in his name. Renowned Poet Krishnan Parappilli, renowned novelist Lalithambika Antharjanam and the first travelogues writer Paremmakkal Thomakkathanar also belongs to Rampuram.
