The Dhanwanthari Temple located in Nelluvai, Thrissur district of Kerala, is known for its Oushada Prasada (prasada with Ayuvedic medicinal values). Known as Mukkudi, the offering is made everyday under the guidance of Kuttancherry Manu Moos as he only knows the secret recipe of the prasada. Dhanwanthary Moorthy, known as the physician of gods (devas) is worshipped here. Lord Dhanwanthari is also referred to as the lord of Ayurveda. It is believed that all type of diseases can be cured by worshipping Lord Dhanwanthari. Large number of devotees visit this temple for this purpose.
