Kakkad Mahaganapathi Temple കക്കാട്‌ മഹാഗണപതി ക്ഷേത്രം

One of the rare Maha Ganapathy temples in Kerala. Situated in the heart of the city, Kunnamkulam.

Munimada

Munimada mirrors the lifestyle of ancient rishis.It is a cluster of small caves where rishis used to live and meditate in the ancient past. One can get down to the rock-cut caves taking stairs (made of rock) from the surface and enter the caves underneath. Cots and tables made of rock are found inside these caves which are believed to be used by the saints who lived here.The caves date back to 2 or 3 BC.

St.Matthias church (popularly known as ambalampalli)

Hindus, Christians and Muslims live in harmony in Kunnamkulam. The religious tolerance of Kunnamkulam people can be seen from the “Ambala Palli - St.Matthias Church (located at south Bazar) which is a temple converted to a church wherein the temple character can be seen in the church entrance.Elohim Christian Church Akkikavu Kunnamkulam
