Joseph hon.Revenue minister on 06/06/1986. The Office is situating in Thycattussery village 2.02ares in survey135/8-2 situating near Punnakkezhil Bhagavathi temple & about 100mts. south of P.S junction beside MLA road . The office is about 13 kms north from Cherthala taluk , 2kms east from Thuravoor junction beside NH66 & 1.5kms west from Makkekavala junction beside Cherthal- Arookkutty road. Thuravoor -Pamba state highway is passing through this village. The village is famous for silica sand deposit @ coir industries. The village is situating in between Vembanattu lake east & Kurumbi (Thycattussery lake) kayal west. Boundaries north-Panavally village south- Pallippuram village, west-Kurumbi (Thycattussery lake) back waters, east- Vembanattu lake. St. Antonys church Thycattussery, Punnakkeezhil Bhagavathi temple, Maniyathrikkal temple, Valyara church are famous pilgrim centres in this village.
