The office is about 13 kms north from Cherthala taluk , 2kms east from Thuravoor junction beside NH66 & 1.5kms west from Makkekavala junction beside Cherthal- Arookkutty road. Thuravoor -Pamba state highway is passing through this village. The village is famous for silica sand deposit @ coir industries. The village is situating in between Vembanattu lake east & Kurumbi (Thycattussery lake) kayal west.
