AS A PART OF TACKLING SEA EROSION IN THE COSTAL AREA OF KATTOOR, CONSTRUCTION OF GROYNE FIELD THROUGH LATEST TECHNIQUE OF LAYING TETROPODS AND BLACK ROCKS IS PROGRESSING IN ITS PEAK.THIS IS PROPOSED TO BE COMPLETED WITH THE AID FROM KIIFBI AND THE TENTATIVR LENGTH IS OF 3.16 KM RANGING FROM KATTOOR OMANAPPUZHA TO VAZHAKKOOTTAM POZHI.THE GROYNE FIELDS WOULD MINIMISE THE DISASTROUS IMPACT OF SOIL EROSION IN AREA TO NULL.
