Village Office is situated in Vellora. It is a small town . Vellora is a village in Payyannur Taluk of Kannur District. It is appx 30 km from Taluk Headquarters and 60 km from Dist Headquarters. Other important places in the village are Kakkara and Perumpadavu. Vellora and Karippal are the two blocks of the village. There is a Higher secondary school ,3 UP schools and an LP school in this village. A Govt Homoeo dispensary is situated near the village office.
