By examine the records it is came to known that the Ayyappancoil Village begins it as a village from 1957-1958 In the begining the Village is comes under Udumbanchola taluk. Bifurcation of taluks in 2014 a new taluk formed as Idukki ,Head Quarters at Cheruthony. Ayyappancoil Village comes under Idukki taluk.Ayyappancoil Village also Bifurcated after the formation of Idukki taluk and new Village formed as kanchiyar.
