Harippad Village Office is situated at the Head Quarters of Karthikappally Taluk. The office is at the 2nd floor of Revenue Tower in the heart of Harippad Town. Besides Village Officer, there are two Village Assistants and two Village Field Assistants in Harippad Village office.

Functions

Village Officer is the Head of General Administration and Revenue Adminiistration in the village and the Representative of the Government of Kerala. Main responsibilities of Village Officer are related to the following subjects: *Collection of Land Tax, Building Tax and Luxury Tax *Conservation of Govt. Land *Land Assignment *Land Acquisition *Land Relinquishment *Mutation of Land *Land Utilisation *Conservation of Paddy Land and Wet Land *Revenue Recovery *Certificate Service *General Administration *Disaster Management *Election * Census *Co-ordination of various Govt. Departments etc..
