Akkikkavu Bhagavathy Temple (അക്കിക്കാവ് ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം) is located in Akkikkavu, Thrissur district, Kerala state, South India. The temple, dedicated to Bhagavathy (Bhadra Kali) is on the road side connecting Kunnamkulam to Perumpilavu. Its around 5km from Kunnamkulam, around 26km from Thrissur via Pannithadam

ഇത് കലശമല ചിറയിൽ ശിവ വിഷ്ണു ക്ഷേത്രം തൃശ്ശൂർ ജില്ലയിലെ പോർക്കുളം പഞ്ചായത്തിൽപ്പെട്ട അകതിയൂർ വില്ലേജിലെ കിള്ളിമംഗലം മന ഊരായ്മയിൽ ഉള്ള അമ്പലമാണ് ഇത്. അനേകം വർഷങ്ങൾ പഴക്കമുള്ള ഈ അമ്പലത്തിലെ പ്രധാന പ്രതിഷ്ഠകൾ ശിവനും വിഷ്ണുവുമാണ്. മുന്നൂറിൽ പരം വർഷങ്ങൾക്ക് മുന്പ് കിള്ളിമംഗലം മനയിലെ ഒരു നമ്പൂതിരിപ്പാട് തൊട്ടടുത്ത പ്രദേശത്തുനിന്നും വിഷ്ണുവിനെ ഇവിടേക്ക് മാറ്റി പ്രതിഷ്ഠിക്കുകയാണു ഉണ്ടായത്. അതിനു ശേഷം ശങ്കരനാരായണന്മാർ തുല്യപ്രാധാന്യത്തോടു കൂടി ഒരേ ചുറ്റമ്പലത്തിൽ തന്നെ വിരാജിക്കുന്നു. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ തെക്കുഭാഗത്ത് “കുളവെട്ടി” എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ചില പ്രത്യേക ഇനം മരങ്ങളും കാണപ്പെടുന്നുണ്ട്. “പെരുമ്പ്” എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ഈ സ്ഥലം പിതൃതർപ്പണം ബലിയിടൽ തുടങ്ങിയവക്ക് അത്യുത്തമമാണെന്നു വിശ്വസിച്ചുപോരുന്നു.

കലശമലയിലെ കുളവെട്ടിമരങ്ങള്‍ INTERNATIONAL UNION FOR CONSERVATION OF NATURE AND NATURAL RESOURCES ന്റെ RED LIST ല്‍ പ്പെട്ട ​ഏറ്റവും നാശോന്മുഖമായ മരമാണ് കുളവെട്ടിമരം. ലോകത്ത് ആകെ 200-ഓളം കുളവെട്ടിമരങ്ങള്‍ മാത്രമാണ് അവശേ‍ഷിക്കുന്നത്. അതില്‍തന്നെ 110 ഓളം മരങ്ങള്‍ കലശമലയില്‍ ആണ് ഉള്ളത്. കുളവെട്ടി ഒരു അപൂർവ വൃക്ഷമാകയാലും അവയുടെ സമൃദ്ധി ഇവിടെയുള്ള പോലെ ലോകത്തിൽ മറ്റൊരിടത്തും ഇത് വരെ കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടില്ലാത്തതിനാലും ‘കേരള സംസ്ഥാന ജൈവ വൈവിദ്ധ്യ ബോർഡ്’ ഈ പ്രദേശത്തെ ഒരു ജൈവ വൈവിദ്ധ്യ പൈതൃകസ്ഥാനമായി പരിഗണിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്

Kalasamala Eco tourism Village is also known as Kallazhi Kunnu, Narimada Kunnu. Located in Akathiyoor, Part of Chowannur in Porkulam Pachayat, 1 kilometer from parempadam centre and around 5 Kilometer from Kunnamkulam Town.
