Nuchiyad is a village located in Iritty Taluk of Kannur district in Kerala. At the foothills of the Western Ghats and the Coorg Evergreen Forests,Nuchiyad Village is a beautiful migratory village that touches the Nuchiyad River. The headquarters of the village is at Manipara. 90% of the population are immigrants from Kottayam. Agricultural resources such as rubber and cashew are the main sources of income. Most of them are farmers. Nuchiyad Village is located at a distance of 12 km from Iritty town. The total area of ​​the village in Ulikkal Grama Panchayat is 7421.17 acres. In the village of Nuchiyad and Parikalam, about 150 acres are flooded.

As per the Census India 2011, Nuchiyad village has population of 33173 of which 16289 are males and 16884 are females. The population of children between age 0-6 is 3318 which is 10% of total population. The sex-ratio of Nuchiyad village is around 1037 compared to 1084 which is average of Kerala state. Geography

Nuchiyad is a hilly Village located 46 km northeast of the Kannur district headquarters. The eastern boundary of the village has forests bordering Karnataka State.

Most of the people in Nuchiyad village depend on agriculture for their livelihood. Rubber and pepper are the major agricultural crops.
