Nuchiyad is a village located in Iritty Taluk of Kannur district in Kerala. At the foothills of the Western Ghats and the Coorg Evergreen Forests,Nuchiyad Village is a beautiful migratory village that touches the Nuchiyad River. The headquarters of the village is at Manipara. 90% of the population are immigrants from Kottayam. Agricultural resources such as rubber and cashew are the main sources of income. Most of them are farmers. Nuchiyad Village is located at a distance of 12 km from Iritty town. The total area of the village in Ulikkal Grama Panchayat is 7421.17 acres. In the village of Nuchiyad and Parikalam, about 150 acres are flooded.
