Keezhariyur village is located 6 km northeast of koyilandy town. Village office is situated in the heart of the keezhariyur town.Total area of the village is 1369.16 Hectare.The new village office building was inaugurated by Honorable Chief Minister of Kerala Sri. Pinarayi Vijayan on 4th November 2020.There are three desom/block in this village.Block.No.001-keezhariyur,002-Natuvathur,003-Nambrath.Village office is situated in 4.05 ares of revenue land in keezhariyur desom Re-survey No.136/9. Keezhariyur is a region of hills,valleys and rivers.Village bountaries are, North-Thurayur village and Kozhukkallur village,South-Nayatan puzha and Arikkulam village,East-Arikkulam village,West-Akalapuzha.
Socio-Economic
Keezhariyur is relatively high in socio-economic status.As per census 2011 the literacy rate is 93.72%. People are mainly dependent on agriculture. The main crops are coconut,arecanut and banana.

The dense mangrove forests on both the banks of the Nelliyadi river protect the habitant.Mangrove forests provide a favorable environment for the safe breeding of aquatic life,including a wide variety of fish,and for birds to congregate.It also prevents water pollutoin,landslides and floods

There is no tourist spot in Keezhariyur village. But Nelliyadi kadavu river bank is a very scenice spot in Keezhariyur village. The beautiful river bank,which is full of mangrove forests,is also a potential tourist destination.
