About Village
Paduvilayi village was formed in the year 1954 and is situated on the banks of the river Anjarakandi. References to Paduvilayi can be found in William Logans Malabar Manual. The village covers an area of 3737.37 acres and consists of 13 lands viz. Until 1985, the office was housed in a private building and later in a government building at Mundametta on 5 cents of land donated by a private individual. The building was renovated in 2020 after falling into disrepair and was included in the 100-day program and inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan on November 4 of the same year.

Socio-Economic
The Maha Vishnu Temple on the street and the Juma At Palli on the market are the two oldest places of worship within the limits of Paduvilayi Village. Both the temples are said to be associated with the history of the place. Apart from this, temples like Paduvilakkavu, Champad Kurumba Bhagwati Temple, Kaitheri Poyil Muchilottu Kavu and Vengadu Ganapati Temple are some of the other attractions of the village. E. K. Nayanar. K Nayanar Memorial Govt. Higher Secondary School is also located in Paduvilayi Village. The main towns are Anjarakandy and Vengad

This village belongs to the midlands. The main sources of water in the village are the Anjarakandi river which flows through the borders and the streams and ponds that flow into it.
