About Village
Bysonvalley village is one of the 18 villages under Udumbanchola Taluk which came into existence as a result of bifurcation from Rajakkad village on 1st June 1985.The name Bison valley is believed to tell the history of the place, Where the kings and officers of east India company came for hunting bison during there vacations in Munnar. Agriculture is the main occupation here with Cardamom and Pepper holding its major share.

Geography
It has a hilly terrain with a cool climate and is situated 36 km away from sub-district headquarter Nedumkandam and 49 km away from district headquarter Painavu and mostly surrounded by Cardamom Plantation. Bison valley is situated in the valleys of Chokramudi Peak covering an area of nearly 144 square kilometers
Socio-Economic
Various sections of Christianity, Hinduism and Muslims co-exist harmoniously. Income is mainly from Tourism and Cardamom Plantation.
