Parappanangadi village located at Parappanangadi town near to Muncipal office. Parappanangadi railway station is 300 meter away from village office. Parappanangadi village is bounded by Arabian Sea to west, Neduva village to east, Ariyallur village to north, and Poorapuzha to south. Muncipal office, urban PHC, Malsya fed, Fishing harbor are the main government offices in the village.


The population of the village is 35243 with 17035 males and 18208 females as per 2011 census. Fisherman community in coastal area shares a good portion in the population.


A large area of Parappanangadi village shares coastal area with Arabian sea. Kettungal estuary deliver Poorapuzha to arabian sea.


Fisher men were a major community in Parappanangadi village. The social and economic status of them is still not developed as compared to other villagers.
