Kottur Village is located in North - Western side of Kottoor Panchayath. Village comprised of seven desom (blocks) viz. Moolad, Narayamkulam, Kottur, Peravachery, Kunnaramvally, Thiruvode and Paloli. Boundaries are Avitanallur Village on East and South sides, Naduvannur and Nochad Villages on West side and Kayanna Village on North side of this Village.

Still maintaining Village ambiance and beauty mixed with hilly area like Chengottumala and Paddy lands. Major roads are Koottalida - Naduvannur, Koottalida - Chalikkara roads connects the village to SH.

No major market places in this Village. Near by market places are Naduvannur and Koottalida. Jurisdiction of three Police stations Koorachundu, Perambra and Balussery falls in this village. A valve station of newly constructed GAIL pipe line is located in Kottur Village.
