Veeramala Hills Cheruvathur.

Veeramala Hill is a small mountain situated at Cheruvathur in the Kasargode district of Kerala.On the Hill top there is the ruins of a Dutch fort built in the 18th century. There is a picnic spot from where the Kariangode river and surroundings can be viewed. It is characterized by its rich biodiversity.

Cheruvathur is a cosy small town in the Kasaragod district of Kerala, located only 10 kilometres south of the major town of Nileshwaram. ... The etymology of the name has its origin in the Malayalam words "cheriya pathu ooru" which means ten small places. Now the village has been bifurcated and formed a new Villge named Thuruthi on 07/03/2020.The village is resurveyed as Block No 61 which include Resurvey No 1 to 449. The extent of the village is 936.4857 Ha. The Village office Building is situated near Railway station Cheruvathur. New Smart Building was inaugurated on 04/11/2020.
