The village panamaram was the part of NorthWyanad district as the old Kuppathode Desom .The village panmaaram is bounded by Panamaram river , Narassi puzha ,vast coffee plantation and paddy fields.Kallambalam the old Jaintemple at Punchavayal , British bridge ,hanging bridge across panamaram puzha, and tomb of Thalakkal Chandu at panamaram School compound are the major tourist destinations .Various tribals are staying in panmaram and its surroundings ,Seetha Devi Temple,the Murikkanmar Temple,Holly st.Jude church and Panamaram Mosque over 100years old are major pilgrim centers at Panamaram.
