Someshwari temple ----An ancient temple located in Padappengad. Various Theyyam like Karim Chamundi, Mangala Chamundi, Parava, Vannathi Pothi, Paraali Amma are performed here. The temple is located in a silent place. There is an old pond located at the front of the temple.

The Theyyam ritual is practiced in Kannur in northern Kerala, India. This colourful ritual dance incorporating mime takes place from December to April annually to worship the spirits of ancestors and heroes. Kooveri village is also famous for Theyyam artists and the ritual. Many temples are situated in the village which performs Theyyam art. Which are vallikkadavu puthiyabhagavathi temple parakkode sreemuthappan temple, sri chamundi temple mangara, Muchilot kavu kooveri, Thirumkulam pottan kavu and kattamballi muthappan temple. Theyyams named Chonnamma, veera kali, Thekkan gulikan Vishnumoorthi, Chamundi, puthiyabhagavathi, Muchilot bhagavathi, Sree muthappan were performed on these temples
