Tanalur village office

Tanalur village is located in Tirur Taluk of Malappuram district in Kerala, India. This office is functioning under Government of Kerala in Land Revenue department. This department in Government Secretariat is under the Principal Secretary of Land Revenue. Revenue Department in Government is headed by the Land Revenue Commissioner who is assisted by Additional Commissioner /Joint Commissioner/Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioners. Each district is headed by District Collector and assisted by Deputy Collectors among others. Each Revenue Division is headed by a Revenue Divisional Officer and assisted by a Senior Superintendent among others. Each Taluk is headed by a Tahsildar who is assisted by Tahsildar(LR), Deputy Tahsildars among others. Each Village is headed by a Village Officer who is assisted by Special Village Officer, Village Assistants and Village Field Assistants. Major services available from this office are:- 1. Collection of Basic Tax, Plantation Tax, Building Tax etc and effecting Revenue Recovery. 2. Maintenance and updation of Land records and act as custodian of Government land. 3. Conduct of Elections including revision of electoral rolls and issuance of photo identity cards for the purpose of voting and general census operations. 4. Issuance of various certificates for general public purpose eg: Caste Certificate, Community Certificate, Possession Certificate etc. 5. Implementation of calamity relief operations and disbursement of funds to eligible persons including Chief Minister’s Distress Relief fund (CMDRF) to the needy. 6. Management and control of natural resources,regulation of sand mining, granite mining etc and issuance of Arms License, Explosive license etc. 7. Also responsible for the assistance of various functions implemented by the Government.
