The birth of a smart village office. When Wayanad district was formed on 1.11.1980 as per Order No. 41028 / D2 / 80 / RD dated 14/10/1980, 11 village offices were first established in Mananthavady taluk in two farks namely Mananthavady and Periya. The Kuppathod Village Office at Mananthavady Farka was divided and the present Panamaram Village Office and Cherukattoor Village Office came into existence by dividing the Kuppathod Village Office as per Government Order No. 462/85 / RD dated 26.11.1985.The Cherukattur Village Office started functioning independently on 28.5.1985. After a long time, it started functioning as a Smart Village Office on 26/9/2015 as it is today. Thus the work was completed and is known as the first Smart Village Office.
